The Fire District is governed by a five-member citizen Board of Directors who serve four-year terms. To be eligible, a person must reside or own property within the District boundaries.
The Board members are elected to their positions by citizens of the District. It is their responsibility as your elected representative to consider every policy decision, ensuring it reflects your best interests.
All Fire District Board meetings are open to the public. The agenda is posted at the Stayton Post Office, Stayton City Hall, and Stayton Fire Station on the Friday prior to each Board Meeting.

Regular Meeting Schedule
The Board of Directors meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, with the location announced on the agenda. In March the Board meets in Mehama, in July at Elkhorn, in September at Marion, all other regular meetings are scheduled at the Stayton Station
