Update on Central Oregon Wildland Fire

The task force has been assigned to the Powerline fire, located west of the reservation on Old Mill Road north off Hwy 26. The structures they are protecting are off the 140, 100, and 160 roads.

Last night the task force spent the night at a newly built Warm Springs fire station that has not been occupied yet, they were alerted early today to return to the area they were at yesterday due to increase fire activity. 

Chief Carriger said the crews are performing great and being safe, yesterday was a good day.
