The District hired Matt Dryden who has 17 years of experience as a shop mechanic with the last 14 years as the light/medium duty diesel mechanic for Canby Ford. Matt comes to the District with many certifications including Emergency Vehicle Technician. In addition to his extensive mechanical qualifications Matt has also been a volunteer firefighter with Keizer Fire for the last 5 years. During that time Matt obtained his Firefighter I and Driver certifications and is currently working on his NFPA Pumper Operator, he is also an Oregon Certified EMT Basic.
Along with his excellent technical skills, Matt also has great communication and people skills. His ability to communicate and gain instant credibility with people is two of the main reasons Matt was selected for this position. The District realizes the importance of hiring a “good fit” for both the District and the applicant. This helps ensure a long healthy and productive relationship for both.
