ReOregon Home Replacement Program Update

Sharing from Oregon Housing and Community Services
*Upcoming funding opportunity for 2020 Labor Day Fire survivor households still needing financial support.

March 15, 2023

Dear ReOregon stakeholders:

Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) is preparing for the launch of the first ReOregon programs for households that suffered the greatest impacts from the 2020 Labor Day fire. OHCS signed a grant agreement with HUD last month to get access to grant funds and is working to build a web portal to accept applications. Although it has taken far longer than anyone would wish to get to this point, we look forward to providing federally funded assistance later this year.

We expect the application portal to open in the next few months. When it does, we will ask that every survivor household still needing financial support complete an eligibility survey. Survivors eligible for Phase 1 of the Homeowner Assistance and Reconstruction Program (HARP) will be asked to complete a full application. The HARP fact sheet contains more detailed information on Phase 1 eligibility.

You can expect regular communications from us over the next few months as we build out the application form and post more information on the program website: re.oregon.gov.

Sincerely,
The OHCS Disaster Recovery and Resilience Team
