Is your power out?
Some things to keep in mind:
- Generators should be used outside in a well-ventilated location at least 5’ away from all doors, windows, and vent openings. Learn more at GeneratorSafetyTips.ashx (nfpa.org)
- Make sure fuel-burning heaters are designed and labeled for INDOOR use and are properly ventilated.
- Make sure you have working carbon monoxide alarms on every level of your home with bedrooms, inside each bedroom, and in the hallway outside each bedroom.
- Make sure you have working smoke alarms on every level of your home (including the basement), inside each bedroom, and in the hallway outside each bedroom.
