SFD Announces the Passing of Ret. Volunteer Carl Hansen
It is with great sadness we regret to inform you of the passing of retired volunteer member Carl Hansen, father of Captain Doug Hansen and grandfather of firefighter Brandon Hansen of the Mehama station of the Stayton Fire District.
Carl dedicated 15 years to the Stayton Volunteer Fire Department (1965-1979) and 40 years as a volunteer EMT with Santiam Hospital Ambulance (1964-2004) were he retired as a paramedic.
Carl’s commitment and dedication to EMS and saving lives in the Santiam Canyon is how we will remember his service. Carl was a leader in EMS for the Santiam Canyon, a mentor to many, and dedicated to service.
His service will be at 11 am on September 9th, 2010. It will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 1400 Western Ave. in Stayton.
