Stayton Volunteer Protection Co. #1 recently received a thank you letter from the Emanuel Medical Center Foundation for their donation of $6,000 to the Oregon Burn Center.  The money was raised at Stayton Fire District’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Oregon Burn Center last June.  "Wow - just wow! You are making a world of difference to our patients", writes Kathleen Buckley, Emanuel Medical Center Foundation Development Officer.

Of course none of this would be possible without the continued support of our sponsors, vendors, golf teams, and volunteers.  Only together have we been able to make this a great annual event and the thanks truly goes to each of you.

The Golf Tournament is held each year at the Elkhorn Valley Golf Course on the last Saturday in June.  Many of the teams and sponsors have been with us since the beginning and even in tough economic times have stepped up to the plate and made each year a success.

This year’s Tournament will be held on June 26, 2010.  The golf committee is working hard to put together all the details and will be sending out registration forms soon.  If you would like to put together a team or sponsor this year’s event and be on our mailing list, send us your name and address - nothing like a good golf game on a great course for an excellent cause.
