There will be a live burn exercise on Saturday, April 11th from 8am to 3pm at 1330 N. Gardner Ave. These Burn to Learn opportunities give our firefighters a chance to practice realistic firefighting methods.
Here are some helpful hints for the day of the burn.
- Keep doors and windows closed
- If you have breathing problems, we recommend you leave for the day or stay inside
- Report any concerns or problems to the district immediately by calling Assistant Chief Jay Alley at 503-932-7805.
Road Closure Information:
N. Gardner Ave will be closed to through traffic at W. Locust St. and Western Ave. during the exercise, access for local residents will be allowed during the training.
