Kingston-Jordan MVAToday 5/8/2014, the Stayton Fire District along with Santiam Hospital Medics and the Linn County Sheriff’s office responded to a single vehicle accident on Kingston-Jordan Road with a vehicle on its side with a trapped occupant. Stayton’s Command Vehicle, Engine and Rescue responded to the scene with a total of 9 firefighters. After a 30 minute extrication, firefighters successfully removed the Pt. who was then transported to Santiam Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Pt. was seat belted during the accident which greatly reduced the potential for injury. The Stayton Fire District would like to remind everyone to buckle up, and be careful as our roads can be slick nearly any time of the year.
