January 5th marks the anniversary of the death of Ryan Walker. Ryan was a Resident Volunteer at Stayton Fire District and an American Army Soldier. Ryan lost his life on this date in 2006 while protecting our country overseas. The turnouts and helmet statue at the district memorial is dedicated to the memory of Ryan.
