More than 80 people attended the 5th annual Stayton Fire District Family Picnic held August 16 at the Hueller family farm on the North Fork. Once again this year was a blast with great weather and good attendance.
Excellent sweet corn complemented the great food provided by the attendees and the main course was pull-a-part pork and BBQ chicken provided by Gene’s Meat Market in Mehama.
The kids had a great time playing games, bouncing on the trampoline, and swimming in the port-a-tank, while the adults visited about old times and caught up on current activities.
Over all a good time was had by everyone and no one went away hungry.
Thanks once again to Kurt and Carol for opening their home to the District and for providing the extra hard work and incredible hospitality.
We’re looking forward to next year – maybe some new games for the kids and adults with friendly competition and some door prizes will be added to the event.
