Government Flats Complex Conflagration

We received an update today from the fire lines at the Government Flats Conflagration. Capt. George Crosier is acting as Marion County 1 Asst. Task Force Leader. Capt. Crosier reports that they have been assigned night operations and last night were fighting active fire and protecting structures in the area. Along with Capt. Crosier, Capt. Sherry Bensema is with the Sublimity Fire District's engine acting as Engine Boss.

Crews are expecting lightning tonight possibly contributing to more fires and potential fire growth. The task force is currently resting as they will re-deploy this evening.
