- Keep your tree watered daily.
- Never use lit candles to decorate your Christmas tree.
- Always turn off your Christmas tree lights when leaving the home or going to bed.
- Make sure your Christmas tree is not blocking any exits in the house.
- Never place your Christmas tree next to baseboard heaters, find an alternate location.
- Go over your home escape plan with your family, and double-check that your smoke and CO detectors are working properly.
