Grant Amendment Information

Stayton Fire District has received a Grant Amendment which has allowed us to reallocate remaining funds from the Hose and Appliance Grant which was rewarded several months ago and use those funds to implement and maintain a Pre-Fire Plan program. The program is designed for mobile use and will allow crews to access important building and or target hazard information to safely and effectively mitigate hazards in the community. Crews will go out and electronically gather information, enter it into the computer and access that information in the field which will be used during emergencies. Pre-Fire Planning requires both new hardware and software designed to provide computerized drawings that will integrate with our current software. Information contained will help firefighters know what specific buildings are used for, the occupancy type, and specific hazards.
