Lyons Residential Fire

Fire Crews from Lyons Fire District and assisted by Stayton Fire District responded Sunday evening at approx 9:30 pm (2/5/2012) to a structure fire on 346 Locust Street in Lyons. The first arriving unit found smoke and fire in the ceiling of the 1972 mobile home. The home had a secondary roof that confined the fire to the ceiling and kitchen area. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and began salvage and extensive overhaul. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but investigators have narrowed it down to an electrical problem.
